IPPT today

As the title implies, here's my IPPT results:

STATIONSCOREGRADEPOINTS
Sit Up35C3
Broad Jump230cmC3
Chin Up6D2
Shuttle Run9.5 sA5
2.4km12:45 minE1

Total: 14 points
Result: FAIL.

I need at least a D for all stations and a total of at least 12 points to pass. D for 2.4km is 11:41-12:20 min. I missed by 25seconds. DANG...

I did the IPPT @ Maju camp. They've switched to electronic score recording.. then again i think the whole army has made the switch. Ah well, I'll be back again soon with more updates on my progress. I refuse to accept failure! RAWR!!!

p.s. here's a recap of last year's attempt.. "it's that time of the year..."

DoA vs FF

Monty Oum created this. It's awesome. For those of you who love Dead or Alive, or those of us (yeah me me!) who love Final Fantasy, this one's for you.
Intro-ed by Noel from a Internet thread he posted on a forum.

check out Monty Oum's profile on gametrailers.com. Can't wait for Dead Fantasy 3, but pity Monty's busy with his job :( http://montyoum.gametrailers.com/gamepad/index.php?action=fanmovs

Also, here's the music video of Dacav5's Tetris. Honestly, the vid ain't fantastic, but it's a nice song that has been lost for awhile.. Nice to have it back in my head haha

Enjoy ;)

F1

F1's 1st night street race.
Singapore's 1st night street race.
blah blah blah.
You'd think we'd suffer from overexposure n be bored by the time it actually starts.
I'm not a hardcore fan, but I've enjoyed watching the odd races, and following the leaderboards, both constructor n driver.
But to actually HEAR the engines ROARING through the gears down the straight, LIVE.. priceless.
Last night, I was at bugis to pick my sis up from tuition before heading home. It was there that I heard them. One after another, shifting through the gears, mini-jet planes roaring down the street. To say I was excited is an understatement. I was ecstatic!
Tonight, I'll be at Orchard for dinner. No prizes for guessing where I'll be headed after that ;)
Did I also mention that my dad has a all-access pass for the race? He's not a fan though :( He's just there to do his job. Man.. if only we could swap places LOL

p.s. Not wanting to be branded as a mindless guy following the crowd, but I really like the Ferrari team, and that's who I normally look out for on the leaderboards. Needless to say, the driver I support is also from Ferrari. He's not Massa though. He's last year's champion, Raikkonen. Guy to look out for? Sebastian Bourdais. The only driver with specs. Girls, aside from his cute looks, he's also a good driver (imho). A pity his car flopped on him in the Italy Grand Prix, else we'll be hearing more from him. Instead, it was his teammate and the driver in pole position who stole the limelight, Sebastian Vettel. No resentment though. That guy drove a faultless race.
p.p.s. Why don't I support Hamilton? It's not that he's a bad driver. I respect him for his driving skills, aggressive though they may be. Respect, though earned through exhibition of skill, takes more than just talent to be retained. I'm afraid Hamilton's character needs more refining if he's to earn back the respect he's lost from me. Arrogance is not a character most welcomed by most people. That said, he's pushing for the title, and it'll be sad if he gets pipped to it by Massa. Raikkonen, for all my support, is a shade of his former self. Ever the cool driver, calm in any situation, but lacking that winner's touch this season. Would love to see him in the red colour of Ferrari next season though. I do hope to see more of him ;)

JC Class Bonding

Feels weird, looking through blogs of ex-JC-classmates, then wondering why we were never close..
and then I realise, it's never really the class's fault, nor the "synergy" of the ppl of the class.
it was.. me.
I've never really "clicked" with anyone. Never really let in ppl. Sure I was friendly n occassionally "bubbly", but that's all i ever was: a random artifact hanging about in the class photo. Part of, yet never truly belonging.
I try to think of the times we spend together, n i find myself, more often than not, coming up with blanks. I know my memory IS bad, like.. REAL BAD. but it's shocking how little i remember of my life, at least when it comes to relationships with ppl.
I guess I'm never a ppl person.
Let me try to elaborate. I just said this today, so i guess this deserves a quotation. "Memories define who you are today; your character, the way you behave, everything. If not for the memories of the stupid things you did yesterday (in the past), you'll never be as smart* as you are today."
*smart, being used as a generic term as all things good that u're accomplishin now, be it down to intelligence, capability, glib of tongue, or what not.
the funny thing is, my memories r cluttered with things that i have done, rather than things that happen when i'm with ppl. i guess i m my own "achievement record book", reciting my goods (what little i have) n bads (lots) with relative ease, albeit with little or no historical accuracy.. (i have a bad habit of remembering things different from what they really were. there's a psych term for that i guess.. but i have not a clue.. i "forgot" =,='"
sometimes i want to reach out to the world, then when i do, i wish i hadn't. part of me really wants to be alone, part of me thinks otherwise. i wonder what would have happened if my family and friends have brought me up n influenced me differently.. would i really be an authentic introvert? i know for sure i can never claim to be remotely close to being a loner or an introvert (i sincerely believe there's a difference between the two), but part of me feels as if i might be, if i had a different life experience from the one i've lived.
Saving grace? Soccer. It's the one constant i've had since primary4, and one i've no regrets. I love the game. Playing it, watching it, analysing it, thinking about it. The only problem i have with it? I can't play it alone... ...

Virus

My laptop kena virus. Sent it to IT Co-op to reformat. Gonna collect it tomorrow.
All software have to reinstall. Everything WIPED.
It was a trojan horse that kept spamming anti-virus/anti-spyware advertisements and locking down a majority of OS functions like "task manager", "safe mode" (comp crashes when you attempt to start up in safe mode), and others.
The link below is an article on a variation of the trojan horse which infected my laptop.
Either I waited too long to launch task manager, or mine is a more deadly variant of the mentioned trojan, because alot of my functions were locked down.
I read somewhere that System Restore might be able to rollback and prevent a dangerous spread of the trojan horse, isolating it for further treatment by your anti-virus software, but I'm unable to retrieve the link :( I could not get my System Restore to run either...
